# Content Engine

Build platform-native content without flattening the author's voice into generic slop.

## When to Activate

- Writing X posts or threads
- Drafting LinkedIn posts or launch updates
- Scripting short-form video or YouTube explainers
- Repurposing articles, demos, docs, or notes into public content
- Building a launch sequence or content system

## Non-Negotiables

1. Start from source material, not generic post formulas
2. Adapt format for the platform, not the persona
3. One post = one actual claim
4. Specificity beats adjectives
5. No engagement bait unless explicitly requested

## Source-First Workflow

Before drafting, identify the source set: published articles, notes, product demos, docs, changelogs, transcripts, screenshots, prior posts from the author.

If voice consistency matters, build a voice profile from real examples before writing.

## Hard Bans — Delete and Rewrite

- "In today's rapidly evolving landscape"
- "game-changer", "revolutionary", "cutting-edge"
- "here's why this matters" unless followed by something concrete
- Ending with a LinkedIn-style question just to farm replies
- Forced casualness on LinkedIn
- Fake engagement padding not in source material

## Platform Rules

### X/Twitter

- Open with the strongest claim, artifact, or tension
- Keep compression if the source voice is compressed
- Threads: each post must advance the argument
- Do not pad with context the audience doesn't need

### LinkedIn

- Expand only enough for people outside the niche to follow
- Do not turn it into a fake lesson post
- No corporate inspiration cadence
- No praise-stacking, no "journey" filler

### Short Video (TikTok/Reels)

- Hook in first 2 seconds (visual or verbal)
- One idea per video, no multi-point listicles
- End with payoff, not CTA begging

### YouTube

- Title and thumbnail carry 80% of the decision to click
- First 30 seconds must justify the click
- Chapters for anything over 5 minutes

### Newsletter

- Subject line = strongest single claim
- First paragraph = why this matters to the reader specifically
- Scannable structure with clear takeaways

## Repurposing Workflow

One source asset → multiple platform outputs:

```
Source (article, demo, talk)
├── X thread (compressed, punchy)
├── LinkedIn post (expanded context)
├── Short video script (hook + payoff)
├── Newsletter section (reader-centric)
└── YouTube outline (if depth warrants)
```

Each output is native to its platform, not a copy-paste resize.

## Output Quality Check

Before delivering any content:
- Does it sound like the author, not a template?
- Would the author actually post this?
- Is there a specific claim or insight (not just vibes)?
- Is it native to the platform format?
